Well, hello there! This is the section where you can learn about me, Captain John. What is there to say?
Not much really, I'm your typical 34 year old, who enjoys Flight Simulation on the computer as his
favorite pass time. No - I'm NOT one of those people who like to learn how to fly planes into buildings.
I hate it when people think that flight simmers are those groups. We just love to fly to learn to master all
aircraft, from the light Piper J-3 Cub to the mighty Boeing 747-400. My Go-Flight Rack in the picture is
incomplete since I now have a Versatile Radio Panel module in it on the top section.
What else am I into besides Flight Simulation? Yes, we do have other hobbies to. Not only am I the
movie buff of the family - believe me, if I see it, and like it, I'll probably own it on DVD eventually when
it comes out. I'm into all the old shows from when TV used to be good, like the classic ones like Buck
Rogers with Gil Gerard and Erin Gray (own the complete series box set), The A-Team, Knight Rider
(Have the complete series of that one too) Airwolf, Gilligan's Island, a show that no matter how
rediculous it was you couldn't help but laugh at it, and still do even though you've seen all the episodes,
The Dukes Of Hazzard and of course, the little fury guy ALF.
I also enjoy keeping an aquarium with my Angel Fish, Rocky, Sparkles, and Glitter and my Pleco
named Slither. They're some of the most spoiled fish on the planet, but if you're going to own
something like that, I believe in providing the best care possible. They can live up to 10 years if treated
right, and I want them for their life span if not longer.
Aside from that I also enjoy the occassional model building with 1/48 scale sized aircraft. I'm just
about finished a 1/48 scale replica from Top Gun which is complete with custom decals along with the
character names on the canopy. Two and a half months worth of work into it, but it shows I'm really
proud of this one!
Forgot to mention my model car collection that is something to see is well - 35 1/18 scale models,
3 not made anymore, and one 1/12th scale BMW Z8 from The world is not Enough James Bond movie.
A year and a half ago I started writing an article that I created for Flightsim.com entitled Flap's Flap
so I decided, why not bring it to radio? This is one avenue I have not heard anybody do anything on
Flight Simulation with, and thanks to Roger Bouchard over at 1380am WNRI Woonsocket, that is now
finally a reallity.
I currently reside in Rhode Island, USA.
